OUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUNDS MAYA DEVI Maya born in Tuscany, characterized by a cosmopolitan soul, lives and travels in many places in the world. Traveler, researcher and passionate about Indian culture since childhood. The first sailing experiences of his life took place in the Tuscan Archipelago, on the Etruscan Coast and in Versilia. Graduated from Sto ria of Art and Costume at the University of Florence, with a Master in Fashion Design in London and New York. From 1995 to 2006 he worked as a fashion designer in the international fashion luxury brand sector; he travels and lives between Milan, London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong and in Asia, where he gets to know India for the first time. In 2000, in India, he met his Gu ru who transmits to her the Yoga of Himalayan tradition and began studying classical Indian dance. Since 2007 he has dedicated his life to the spread of Yo ga, of Indian dance, mystical ways and Indian traditions. He deepened his studies in INDOLOGY, AYURVEDA, YOGA and HOLISTIC DISCIPLINES in India and graduated in HOLISTIC PSYCHOLOGY. Giuseppe has a wide range of skills in the marine and nautical field dating back to 1992, ranging from diving to the management of motor boats, yachts and boats. sailing, as a professional Skipper. Since he was a teenager he showed interest in the water element and at just 16 he attended scuba diving courses with a scuba (self-contained air breathing apparatus). The Barracuda diving center operated in Ustica until 1997. In 1998 Giuseppe worked as an international diving guide in Egypt, Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada, Mar Salaam and Sudan. In 1999 he returned to Italy and began his career as a skipper working in Sicily on the Egadi archipelago, San Vito Lo Capo and the Zingaro reserve. THE IONIAN SEA Its name, in Latin mare Ionium, in ancient Greek Ἰόνιος θάλασσα, Iónios thálassa, is linked to ancient Ionia and the Greek lineage of the same name. According to one explanation, it is called this because of Io, Ἰώ in ancient Greek, who, daughter of Inachus, lord of Argos, loved by Zeus, transformed into a heifer, persecuted by Hera, swam across the sea to escape her. In Greek mythology, Ionio was a young man endowed with great courage, son of Durazzo, a valiant fighter known for having liberated a region of Dalmatia, victim of cannibal giants, who acclaimed him as their king.
