Passionate about the sea and sailing, we organize and manage eco-sustainable tours, excursions, cruises, experiences and events on sailing boats in two magnificent regions of Italy: Tuscany and Sicily, characterized by a heritage rich in myths and legends of ancient Rome, Magna Graecia, the Etruscans and boast a cultural and food and wine tradition that encompasses all the excellence of MADE IN ITALY.

Our SAIL EXPERIENCES - Sea Experiences - are suitable for single travellers, couples, families, sea and adventure lovers or those looking for relaxation and nature, or they can satisfy the most demanding in search of an EXCLUSIVE or LUXURY experience.

We organize à la cabine or exclusive cruises to the most beautiful destinations in Tuscany and Sicily.

Dream itineraries: the Tuscan Archipelago, the Island of Elba, the Etruscan Coast, Western Sicily, the Zingaro Reserve, the Egadi Islands.

Over the years, we have acquired and consolidated experience and professionalism by operating in the nautical sector and we are able to offer a wide range of proposals and satisfy any request promptly and competently.

OUR HISTORY

AQUAMARINE was born from the original idea of Maya and Joseph.

Foundednin 2018, with the aim of promoting the cultural and artistic heritage of Sicily and all activities related to the sea, sailing, the psychophysical well-being of human beings with a BLUE ECO-FRIENDLY approach.

Maya and Giuseppe are partners in life and in Aquamarine.Their meeting took place on a boat, during a Yoga holiday in Sicily, edbeing both lovers of sailing and the sea and of living in an eco-sustainable way, they combined their passions in the project AQUAMARINE.

Their passion and professional backgrounds allow them to create and offer unique experiences at sea, original proposals, professionally organised, always rich in cultural content and with absolute respect for the territory and the sea.

In 2022, the Aquamarine brand becomes international and transforms into a sailing charter & boat rental agency, based in England, which operates in the nautical and marine sector.

Our headquarters are in England and we operate in Italyand in various parts of the world!

OUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUNDS

MAYA DEVI

Maya born in Tuscany, characterized by a cosmopolitan soul, lives and travels in many places in the world.

Traveler, researcher and passionate about Indian culture since childhood.

The first sailing experiences of his life took place in the Tuscan Archipelago, on the Etruscan Coast and in Versilia.

Graduated from Storia of Art and Costume at the University of Florence, with a Master in Fashion Design in London and New York.

From 1995 to 2006 he worked as a fashion designer in the international fashion luxury brand sector; he travels and lives between Milan, London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong and in Asia, where he gets to know India for the first time.

In 2000, in India, he met his Guru who transmits to her the Yoga of Himalayan tradition and began studying classical Indian dance.

Since 2007 he has dedicated his life to the spread of Yoga,  of Indian dance, mystical ways and Indian traditions.

He deepened his studies in INDOLOGY, AYURVEDA, YOGA and HOLISTIC DISCIPLINES in India and graduated in HOLISTIC PSYCHOLOGY. Maya is a Traditional Yoga teacher certified E 500 RYT by Yoga Alliance international.

Since 2008 he has been involved in event planning, organization and creation of shows, dance festivals, yoga, Indian culture at an international level, continuing to live and travel between Milan, Tuscany, Sicily, London and India.

Maya has always traveled a lot, especially in the East, but she always remains very linked to India and this is why since 2018, lives 6 months a year in India, organizing Yoga Retreats and Spiritual Trips and spends the summer in Italy dealing with the management and creative direction of AQUAMARINE, where he cultivates his great passion for sailing, for the sea and for Yoga!

GIUSEPPE KAMAL

Of Sicilian origins, he was born in Palermo and raised in Milan.

Giuseppe has a wide range of skills in the marine and nautical field dating back to 1992, ranging from diving to the management of motor boats, yachts and boats.sailing, as a professional Skipper.

Since he was a teenager he showed interest in the water element and at just 16 he attended scuba diving courses with a scuba (self-contained air breathing apparatus).

In 1991 he obtained the PADI Scuba diver instructor license and began his professional career in the Zagarella village (PA).

In 1992 he took over the “Barracuda diving center” diving school on the island of Ustica, within one of the villages of the Bagaglino group.

In the same year he organized the international underwater archeology courses and the Blue Olympics, during the international review of underwater activities and collaborated as technical assistance for the freediving world record of Umberto Pellizzari and Francisco Ferreira.

The Barracuda diving center operated in Ustica until 1997.

In 1998 Giuseppe worked as an international diving guide in Egypt, Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada, Mar Salaam and Sudan. In 1999 he returned to Italy and began his career as a skipper working in Sicily on the Egadi archipelago, San Vito Lo Capo and the Zingaro reserve.

Giuseppe also works internationally as a skipper for private yacht transfers.

Aquamarine follows the eco-sustainable philosophy in all the activities it offers, spreading an ECO-FRIENDLY lifestyle for the sea and the surrounding environment. 

Aquamarine opposes the tendency that often imposes a certain adaptability, which clashes with the need to exploit everything, immediately and in excessive quantities, which is the cause of the deterioration of our world.

Even though scientific progress in the ecological field is enormous, changing one's habits in this sense is not always easy.

The encounter with the SEA  arouses one of the greatest emotions that man can feel in the presence of nature, the environment that most inspires respect and water, which from an unconscious point of view recalls the maternal womb and our birth

Living ECO BLUE FRIENDLY means taking all the measures needed to pollute less, to avoid waste which not only saves us money, but also reduces our quantity of "pollution” that we inevitably pour onto the planet.
