Terms of cancellation/refund

Cancellation Conditions

Between 60 days before departure and the balance due date, the guest can cancel his reservation and choose from the following options:

  • Obtain a refund of the full amount paid, net of management fees equal to 15% 

  • Move your booking to the next year by choosing the same tour and boat.

  • Obtain a credit note for the full fee paid, to be used with our association within 12 months of the date of issue.

  • From 72 hours before departure, if the guest cancels the tour or in case of no-show at boarding, the deposit cannot be returned.

  • If the guest renounces due to serious illness, accidents, serious conditions that do not allow departure, the refund of the deposit can only be requested upon presentation of a medical certificate or documentation attesting to the seriousness of the situation.

  • In the event of a positive swab or COVID disease, upon sending documentation certifying the altered state of health, a refund may be requested.

  • Once set sail, no refund can be requested, even in the event of sudden bad weather during the tour that has already begun. The captain of the boat will choose the most suitable navigation strategy for the situation and sea conditions and choose whether to continue the tour or return to port.

  • In the event of slight or seasickness, disembarkation at the port or on land will not be requested or any refund will be requested. In the event of serious illness, you will return to the port or request assistance directly at sea from specialized operators.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER

  • If the weather conditions do not allow navigation on the day of your tour, the interested parties can decide together to postpone the tour or be refunded the booking deposit. Our association will still give an alternative.

  • We check the weather with reliable sources and set sail with the best sea and wind conditions. On a sailing boat, however, it is always better to have a wind that exceeds 10 knots that allows you to sail, rather than a calm, where we would be forced to use the engine.

  • Don't rely on the weather on the web or on TV but let those who know the west coast well give you the best advice.

PAYMENT BALANCE

  • 30 days before departure, payment of the fee will be required, or the remaining 50% in the case of mini-cruises or weekends with overnight stay.

  • In the case of daily tours, the balance can be paid in person at the time of boarding, or by bank transfer at least 3 days before departure.

  • IL CAPITANO reserves the right to modify the routes, the stops, the itinerary depending on the sea and wind conditions, to ensure the safety of everyone on board and to let all the participants experience a wonderful experience in total security and tranquility.

  • The captain reserves the right to return to the port before the scheduled time, if the sea conditions should become dangerous for the guests on board.

  • With good manners even the most extreme situations can be resolved, with rudeness only useless quarrels and conflicts are created that lead nowhere.

COVID 19 REGULATION

  • In case of renunciation due to illness or Covid 19, upon presentation of a medical certificate, it is possible to request the change of the date of the tour or receive a voucher to be used in one of our activities, or agree with the association for a new proposal.

  • Between the balance payment due date and the day before departure, the customer may cancel his reservation due to the following restrictions related to COVID-19:

  • Lockdown in the country of origin or destination;

  • Mandatory quarantine in the country of origin or destination;

  • Travel ban issued by the Government of the country of origin for the country of destination.

  • Once the reservation has been fully paid, the customer can choose between the following options:

  • Obtain a credit note for the full amount paid to use with our association within 12 months of the date of issue.

  • Move your booking to the next year by choosing the same tour and boat.
